Description
2017 marked significant anniversaries for some of Brazil’s most eminent composers: Heitor Villa-Lobos (130), Francisco Mignone (120), Camargo Guarnieri (110) and José Maurício Nunes Garcia (250). To celebrate this, Brazil Institute put together a festival with concert performances, lecture recitals, and film screening in King’s. This festival is intended to diffuse among King’s students as well as the general public about a repertoire which is not widely known about in the UK.
