Public round table at The Place. Part of The Power of Placebo, a national programme of events to accompany The Clod Ensemble's new work, Placebo.
Event description: There is a rich history connecting movement and health, from extraordinary accounts of physical expressions of symptoms such as choreomania, to ceremonial healing rituals, to dance being used in as useful way to recover from illness, aiding recovery from stroke or helping people living with mental health conditions, in hospital environments and outside of them. Join us for a conversation exploring the relationships between body and mind as we consider the ways in which movement is medicine.
