Culture, Media and Creative Industries (CMCI) is home to groundbreaking and innovative research that cuts across the disciplines of Sociology, Social Psychology, Geography, Film Studies, Media and Communication Studies, Management, Music and Museum Studies. Its scope is slightly different from traditional Media and Communication Studies, being marked by interests in all aspects of the cultural and creative industries. CMCI research focuses on cultural production, cultural institutions and cultural consumption, with a strong historical focus and an interest in cultural policy.
