Dr Adam Elliott-Cooper received his PhD from the School of Geography and the Environment, University of Oxford, in 2016. His doctoral research focused on resistance to police violence in post-2011 Britain, and he was also a tutor on an undergraduate module titled African Societies. During this time, Adam also worked as a research associate in the Department of Philosophy, University College London. In 2016, he joined the Department of Sociology, University of Warwick as a teaching fellow, before taking up his current appointment at KCL in 2017.
Adam has served as a guest lecturer on the topic of post-colonialism and policing at a number of institutions, including Birkbeck, Sheffield Hallam, Newman University and Clarke University (USA).
His current research looks at urban displacement in London.
