    Research interests

    Dr. Ana Angelova Volponi is a Reader in Regenerative Dentistry Education.

    She is the Director of the Postgraduate (MSc)  in Regenerative Dentistry Program.

    She joined King's in 2008 after completing her PhD at Tokyo Medical and Dental University in Japan.

    She is the academic lead for Biomedicine in Relation to Dentistry 2 module and the Assessment lead for the first year undergraduate dental program. 

    She is a qualified dentist and taught Restorative Dentistry at Guy’s Hospital at King's in the period 2014-2016.

    Her research interest focuses on Dental Stem cells and creation of Bio-teeth using different tissue and organ engineering techniques.​
