    Biographical details

    Dr Catriona Inverarity is a Senior Health Technology Assessor at the King’s Technology Evaluation Centre (KiTEC) and has a diverse background in healthcare innovation. She holds a BEng in Biomaterials Science and Tissue Engineering and a PhD also in biomaterials, focused on scaffold design for full-thickness skin repair in chronic wounds and extensive burns. 

    Catriona also has several years' experience in the medical devices industry including wound care materials, antimicrobials and in vitro diagnostics. Her role focused on research and product development but also encompassed quality assurance, regulatory compliance, technical transfer and scale-up. She has also worked in research management, with a focus on knowledge sharing and science communication. Most recently, she led on the development of a science leadership strategy at the Institute of Physics & Engineering. She is interested in both the technical and systems level factors that influence technology adoption. Her role focuses on evidence synthesis and stakeholder engagement.
