Biographical details
Chris is a part-time PhD student at King's, working in performance research and supervised by Daniel Leech-Wilkinson. His work deals primarily with convention and ideology in string quartet playing, drawing heavily on historical evidence (including early recordings) in order to nuance and critique traditional ways of understanding the genre and its central metaphorical content.
