Biographical details

I’ve been interested in the field of clinical neurosciences since I started my MBBS (Medical) studies.

Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological disorders in the world and affects people of any region or age. Significant efforts in research have been made during recent years, allowing patients to have more treatment options to improve their quality of life. However, epilepsy still remains challenging for both clinicians and scientists. In this context, after obtaining my degree I decided to find a suitable postgraduate programme that would enable me to gain clinical and research skills in epilepsy.

As King’s College London is one the top 20 World Universities, I had no doubts about applying to the MSc in Epilepsy. In 2012 I obtained my MSc degree in epilepsy with distinction.  In late 2012 I successfully applied for a PhD position at the IoPPN.
