My PhD involves analysing fingermarks and low order explosive materials using various ion chromatography technologies.

 

Recent work includes:

* Characterising the anion content of ammunition

* Studying latent fingermarks for gunshot residues after handling a firearm

* Coupling ion chromatography to high resolution mass spectrometry
