Biographical details

As Head of Higher Education & Research at Shakespeare's Globe I lead research, scholarship and university programmes, and have been the Globe convenor of the KCL/Globe MA in Shakespeare Studies since 2004. I chair the Architecture Research Group which led the research into the designs and construction of the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse. I directed the Shakespeare and Race festival at the Globe in 2018 and the Woman and Power Festival in 2019. I have served on the board of trustees for the Shakespeare Association of America for three years and am now incoming Vice-President. I am a member of the Advisory Council of the Warburg Institute and serve as Series Editor for two monograph series for Arden/Bloomsbury.
