Giorgio completed his PhD in Demography at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical MedicineGiorgio has a long-standing interest in the field of social gerontology, particularly in the demographic and social determinants of health and wellbeing in later life in Europe. His research focuses on the complex relationships over time between paid work up to and beyond State pension age, and mental and physical health, taking lifecourse factors (i.e. family, paid work and health histories) and data missingness into account.
