Biographical details

Dr. Ian Jarvis joined the Genetic and Environmental Toxicology Group, led by David Phillips, at King’s College London in January 2015. He has a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology and a Ph.D. from Newcastle University. He joins us after post-doctoral studies at the Institute of Environmental Medicine, Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, where he investigated cellular responses to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in urban air.

At King’s he is developing in vitro co-culture systems that model the human respiratory system and will investigate their stress responses to atmospheric pollutants.
