Research interests (short)

Jonathan focuses on understanding the fit between human abilities and the limitations of the machine, task and environment. He applies his knowledge of human factors to better understand how people perform resiliently in safety-critical contexts. 

Jonathan was delighted to work at the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing and Midwifery, and at St Thomas' hospital. He helped develop and test interventions to improve organisational resilience within healthcare.

Centre for Applied Resilience in Healthcare (CARe)

A major goal of the Centre for Applied Resilience in Healthcare is to disseminate new ideas about safety throughout the NHS. The centre is a collaboration between King’s College London, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, and the Simulation and Interactive Learning Centre. It is funded by the Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity.
