Dr Liang Ge teaches multiple modules in both the Digital Humanities Department and Culture, Media and Crerative Industries Department. Liang has received their Ph.D. from the Culture, Media and Creative Industries Department, King’s College London. Their doctoral project explores subjects, desires and affects in the digital production and consumption of male-male romances in China. Their research interests include digital media, gender and sexuality studies, and East and Southeast Asian popular cultures and creative industries. Previously, they gained a BLit in Chinese language and literature from Peking University, and MSc in sociology with distinction from the London School of Economics and Politial Science. Their research appears in journals including Media, Culture & Society, European Journal of Cultural Studies, International Journal of Cultural Studies, Continuum and Asian Studies Review.
