    Biographical details

Dr Lili Golmohammadi is a Research Associate in digital health co-design, in the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery, and Palliative Care at King’s College London. She works with the King’s Health Partners Digital Health Hub, an EPSRC-funded centre that supports the development and translation of digital health technologies. In this role she provides expertise to a range of people (healthcare professionals, researchers, patients, small to medium sized enterprises) in selecting and applying co-design tools, methods, and mindsets in their projects.

Dr Golmohammadi has a multidisciplinary background in design, technology, and social research. She worked as a Research Fellow for the UKRI-funded Textiles Circularity Centre – a national partnership of universities led by the Royal College of Art – supporting the development of a circular textile economy through creative research into alternative consumer experiences. Her ERC-funded PhD from University College London explored the role of touch and still-emergent ‘digital touch’ technologies in experiences of loneliness, and was attached to the interdisciplinary IN-TOUCH project, which brought together theories and methods from social science, human computer interaction, design, and the arts in order to find new ways of conceptualising and studying digital touch technologies and their social implications.

Prior to this, Dr Golmohammadi worked for over 12 years as a designer, and taught and researched Design and Design Education at Goldsmiths, University of the Arts London, and Kingston University.

She has hosted two seasons of Together We Create, a podcast about the benefits and challenges of taking an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to research.
