Maria Kordowicz

My research interests are healthcare management and policy, new health and social care organisational forms, organisational processes, ethnographic health service evaluation and mental health.

I lecture in the fields of management and leadership, health and social care organisation, psychology and business, medical sociology, public policy, mental health and qualitative research methods.

I am the Programme Lead for the MSc in Public Health and lead several modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in subjects related to leadership and management in organisations.

I am Chair of the MSc Public Health Student Staff Liaison Committee and Deputy Chair MSc Public Health Examinations & Assessment Board. I am also a Full Member Master’s in Public Health Examinations & Appeal Boards.

Previously, I was Senior Lecturer in Business and Healthcare Management at Anglia Ruskin University.

I have experience in industry, having held senior NHS management positions and worked as a management and organisational development consultant for over a decade.

My professionals memberships include: Fellow Chartered Management Institute; Principal Practitioner Association for Business Psychology; Full Member Insitute of Healthcare Management. I am also an Associate of the Work Foundation.

I welcome potential PhD students approaching me with proposals in the field of health services research utilising qualitative methodologies.
