Research interests

Patrick ffrench works on 20th-century French and Francophone literature and film and post-war literary and critical theory. He has published work on the journal Tel Quel, the writings of Georges Bataille, and most recently two books on the role of the cinema in Proust's À la recherche du temps perdu and the writing of Roland Barthes respectively.
