Research interests

Since joining King’s I have been involved in applied health research with a focus on the development and evaluation of interventions to improve mental health. In addition to extensive experience in applying modern statistical methods in clinical or behavioural research I am involved with the development of relevant methodologies. My methodological research interest is in the field of causal inference, in particular for the evaluation of the efficacy and mechanisms of complex interventions in mental health.

-          Design and analysis of trials of complex interventions

-          Causal mediation analysis

-          Methods for process evaluation

-          Trial emulation using routinely collected data

-          Real-world evidence

-          Rapid evaluation methods including quasi-experimental methods 

-          Individual participant data meta-mediation and moderation analyses
