Personal profile

Research interests (short)

I am a LAHP funded PhD student researching critical discourses of illness, disbilty and corporeality in the context of dance and physical performance spaces. With a specific focus on chronic illness, I am interested in the 'encounter' between the materiality of unwell body of the dance studio space, and the disciplinary bodies of theory and practice that ciruclate in those spaces. In doing so, I look to bring crip critiques of the social model to dance where they have remained somewhat under-considered.
