2015 ASME Mechanisms and Robotics Award

Prize: Prize (including medals and awards)

Description

Presented by the mechanisms and robotics committee of ASME to scientists and engineers known for a lifelong achievement to the fundamental theory, design and applications of mechanisms and robotics systems. As the 27th recipient and the first UK national recipient since the Award was established in 1974 for leading mechanisms and robotics figures.

The Award citation presents, Professor Dai has made a lasting impact on reconfigurable mechanisms through his contributions to theoretical study, mechanism innovation, applications and societal services and by exploring the screw system relationship for revealing kinematics and constraint variation that affect mechanism reconfigurability and for establishing a way of mobility analysis.
