I applied for a competitive research fellowship under the Singapore Social Science Research Council's 'Graduate Research Fellowship' scheme. This is the first year that the fellowship is awarded (call for applications in January 2022). My application was endorsed by the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE). The fellowship is to be funded by the Singapore Management University (SMU), which awarded me a Research Fellowship titled, 'SMU's Fellowship for Social Science Graduate Research 2022'.
The term of the Research Fellowship will be from 1 May 2022 - 1 May 2024. A sum of $10,000 SGD (approximately £6,000) has been allocated to support my research and engagement activities during my PhD. The aim of this Research Fellowship is to provide me with an opportunity to engage and exchange ideas with a Singapore university, under the mentorship of an an experienced professor in SMU.
