Abstract
Some celebrated philosophical logicians (including Jan Lukasiewicz and Athur Prior) have defended the (arguably) Aristotelian view that (necessarily) only what is inevitable (at a time) is true (at that time). I argue that champions of that view are not in a position to offer a good account of the compossibility or otherwise of p with its evitability and its untruth.
