Abstract

Review of "Voices in the brain: The cognitive neuropsychiatry of auditory verbal hallucinations." This book is a bound copy of a special issue of the journal Cognitive Psychiatry, published in 2004. It comprises nine chapters intended to provide a contemporary view of the state of understanding about voices or auditory hallucinations. The audience is primarily researchers or professionals, psychiatrists, psychologists, or interested service users seeking a current perspective on auditory hallucinations. This is a good addition to almost any library, whereby its main advantage lies in providing a range of contemporary reviews and different aspects of the literature related to auditory hallucinations, rarely found together in one place.
