Colloquium 'Brazilian Literature: Challenges for Translation'

Description

With the aim of encouraging reflection on the processes of selection, translation, publication and circulation of Brazilian literature abroad at the current time, this colloquium was a space for discussion among students, researchers, publishers, translators and the community. Besides the organization and welcoming speech, I also chaired the panel 'Brazilian Literature and the Publishing Market', taking advantage of my experience as an editor as well. First international academic event which I organized, representing the Department of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies (Splas) of KCL. The organization was in partnership with Cimara Valim de Melo, visiting researcher at King's Brazil Institute.
