Biographical details

Rosane Carneiro Ramos is from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She is Bachelor of Journalism by Rio de Janeiro State University and has a Master degree in Brazilian Literature by Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She also holds a specialization in Publishing Management, by Getúlio Vargas Foundation. In 2012 she received a scholarship from Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes/Ministry of Education of Brazil), after being approved for King's College London. She received her PhD award in 1st October 2017.

Her research project is Lyricism in Brazilian Novel (twentieth century). As a third-year PhD researcher at Department of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies she held a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) Internship in the first semester of 2015 - discipline "Brazilian Poetry & Song 1958-Present". She is member of the Society for Latin American Literary Studies Association (Lalsa), the Association of British and Irish Lusitanists (Abil), Rede Europeia de Brasilianistas de Análise Cultural (Rebrac) and the Brazilian Studies Association (Brasa).

The researcher is also author of books of poetry and usually publishes in printed and online Brazilian literary magazines. She published a collection of poems in the United Kingdom, Drone (2015), by Carnaval Press - first publisher in the country dedicated to translation of Brazilian poetry. She has been translated in the United States as well.
