Biographical details

David Parkin is an economist who has specialised in health and health care for his whole career, starting with his DPhil at the University of York.  After his first research job in an NHS epidemiology and social research unit in Manchester, he worked as a Research Fellow in the Health Economics Research Unit at Aberdeen University Medical School.  This was followed by a post as Senior Lecturer at Newcastle University Medical School, particularly related to Public Health and having strong links to local NHS organisations.
