    Evidential drug analysis with particular emphasis on forensic toxicology and drugs misused in human sport; current interests include mass spectrometric analysis of intact conjugates and protein hormones and techniques to distinguish the administration of pseudo-endogenous substances (especially GHB and androgens).

    Biographical details

    Professor David Cowan has been working at King's for over 30 years and is established as a world expert on drug detection and anti-doping. He is currently leading the Anti-Doping laboratory for the London 2012 Olympics.
