Abstract

This chapter investigates the role of EU soft law instruments within the UK legal order. It considers the legal effects of these instruments, through examining case law and administrative practice in selected fields. The SoLaR methodology was employed to gather data. The main challenge was obtaining interviews, increasing the significance of other sources of data. With regards to the documentary analysis, materials were mostly accessible online in official databases, or through the portal Westlaw. For case law we used the database of the British and Irish Legal Information Institute.
